Accessing the Power of the ASQ
Tuesday December 3, 2024 11:00am - 12:10pm CST

Schools can build relationships with families and gather valuable information to prepare for incoming students by leveraging the Ages and Stages Questionnaires®. Understanding the unique needs of each family and child as they enter your school system provides the information needed to meet those needs and set students on a path to success. Plus, by using the ASQ as a communication tool you can connect with families, build trust, and start two-way communication. We will help you access the power of the Ages and Stages Questionnaires® in your school system.

The Magical Science of Feelings: Let's explore our feelings, the brain, and some emotion potions!
Tuesday December 3, 2024 11:00am - 12:10pm CST
Are you ready to make some emotional potion?
Join Carmen as she shares her favorite new non-fiction book that can help us teach our students about the brain!
Where do feelings come from? Are they magic? No, they're science! There is a reason our tummies feel funny when we are worried and why we want to stomp and clench our fists when we feel mad. With endearing illustrations, the parts of the brain come alive as friendly characters who explain how emotions like happy, sad, mad, worried, and overwhelmed are created in the body.
